Makanaga wetland is one of the hidden heaven for waterbirds in Uganda. Many species popup at this site, including Shoebills, the largest Heron in the world – Goliath Heron and during Feb waterbird census, Caspian Terns have appeared. This is a palearctic migrant now regularly recorded on Lake Victoria.
