Public Talk on how Biodiversity Credits Deliver Impact for Nature, Climate and People
On March 13, 2025, an engaging public talk on Biodiversity Credits under PV Nature was held at Hotel Africana, Kampala, in collaboration with the Plan Vivo Foundation. The event brought together conservationists, policymakers, and community representatives to explore innovative approaches to biodiversity conservation and restoration through emerging biodiversity markets.
Dr. Dianah Nalwanga, one of the keynote speakers, delivered an insightful presentation on biodiversity credits, shedding light on their potential to channel ethical investments toward Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. Her discussion emphasized how PV Nature’s evidence-based methodologies and equitable benefit-sharing mechanisms empower communities to conserve and restore ecosystems while addressing climate challenges.
