NatureUganda implements projects all-over the country aimed at protecting threatened species in and outside protected areas. To date, NatureUganda has successfully implemented projects that prioritize the conservation of various species, including the Grey Crowned Crane, Blue Swallow, Shoebill, Greur’s Rush Warbler, Fox’s Weaver, and Karamoja Apalis, among others.
Important Bird Areas (IBAs)
The IBA concept aims to identify and protect a network of sites critical for the long term viability of wild bird populations. This is achieved through conservation advocacy and action to protect the sites.
